Bettie Graham Medals at April NAC

Congrats to CCFC fencer Bettie Graham!  She returned home with two medals from the April NAC in Salt Lake City, UT, April 12-15, 2019.  Bettie placed 5th in Veteran-70 Women's Epee and 8th in Veteran-70 Women's Foil.

Non-Combativity Rule Has Changed

The International Fencing Federation (F.I.E.) has changed the Non-combativity Rule and US Fencing has implemented the change beginning February 14, 2019. The rule only affects direct elimination bouts and team matches.  The old Non-combativity Rule was as follows: If there was approximately 60 seconds without a touch being scored the referee would progress the direct elimination bout to the next 3-minute period without a break, or if the non-combativity occured

Kat Holmes Receives International Fair Play Award!!

Former Chevy Chase Fencing Club fencer Katharine Holmes received the International Fencing Federation's (FIE's) Fair Play Award at the 2018 FIE Congress in Paris, France this weekend.  The award is one of only three presented each year world-wide by the FIE.  Kat also accepted the World Cup Medal on behalf of the US Women's Epee Team.  The US team, anchored by Kat, is ranked the #1 women's epee team in
