Footwork Practice – Thursday, September 6

Everyone should come to the footwork practice session, Thursday, September 6, 7:00-7:30pm.  Footwork is an essential element of our fencing strategy and everyone at Chevy Chase needs to improve their footwork technique. Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for both the summer and fall programs. The Junior Epee Club (for those who have already taken a Junior Epee Beginning or Intermediate Class) summer session begins on Tuesday, August 7, 6:30pm-7:30pm.  During August the summer Junior Epee Club will meet only on Tuesday evenings.  After Labor Day, the summer Junior Epee Club will meet twice a week, Tuesday evenings and Saturdays, 2:00pm-3:30pm. Former CCFC Fencer Kat Holmes Wins World Championship!!!

On Wednesday, July 25, former CCFC fencer Kat Holmes and her teammates, Kelley Hurley, Courtney Hurley and Amanda Sirico, won the Women's Epee Team World Championships in Wuxi, China.  The US team is now ranked #1 in the world and has also earned the World Cup Trophy for being the teamwith the most World Cup and Championship wins.  The World Cup Trophy will be awarded at a special ceremony at

Kat Holmes, 6-0 in Pool, Advances to 2nd Day at World Championships

Former CCFC fencer and Olympian Kat Holmes finished 6-0 in the first round of pools at the 2018 World Championships in Wuxi, China.  She received only 7 touches against her finishing at first seed. Three Medals at Summer Nationals!!

Chevy Chase Fencing Club had two fencers competing in three events at the Summer National Championships and won three medals.  Bettie Graham earned 7th place in both the Veteran-70 Women's Epee and Veteran-70 Women's Foil.  Mark Henry won 7th place in the Veteran-70 Men's Epee. No Fencing in July

There will be no fencing club practice during the month of July.  We resume practice in August. The Junior Epee Club will meet only on Tuesdays, 6:30pm to 7:30pm, beginning on August 7.  After Labor Day, September 3, the Junior Epee Club will practice twice a week, Tuesdays, 6:30pm-7:30pm and Saturdays, 2:00pm-3:30pm.  The first Saturday practice will be September 8.  Please register for the summer session of the Junior Epee
