Because of the Columbus Day Holiday, there will be no fencing club practice or private lessons on Saturday, October 12, and Monday, October 14.

Footwork practice will be every Thursday evening, 7:00-7:30pm. Everyone should come to the footwork practice session tonight, Thursday, October 10, 7:00-7:30pm. Footwork is an essential element of our fencing strategy and everyone at Chevy Chase needs to improve their footwork technique. Coach Matthew Moore will be leading this practice. Fencing club practice resumes tonight, Thursday, August 1, after our July vacation. During August, club will practice on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 7:30pm-9:00pm. After Labor Day, we will be meeting at our normal schedule by adding Mondays, 7:30pm-9:00pm, and Saturdays, 2:00pm-3:30pm. The summer session of the Junior Epee Club will begin on Tuesday, August 6, 6:30pm-7:30pm. During August, Junior Epee Club will only practice on Tuesday evenings. After Labor Day,
Chevy Chase Fencing Club is on summer break. There will be no club practice or private lessons during the month of July. Practices will resume on August 1. During August club practices will meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 7:30pm-9:00pm. After Labor Day, September 2, Mondays, 7:30pm-9:00pm and Saturdays, 2:00pm-3:30pm, will be added to the club practice schedule. The summer semester of the Junior Epee Club will begin on Tuesday,

Congrats to CCFC fencer Bettie Graham! She returned home with two medals from the April NAC in Salt Lake City, UT, April 12-15, 2019. Bettie placed 5th in Veteran-70 Women's Epee and 8th in Veteran-70 Women's Foil.
