A Foil Grand Prix international tournament is coming to the DC Convention Center, Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17. I urge everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to watch the top fencers in the world. This is an Olympic year, so everyone is fencing their best to make their country’s Olympic team. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the competition venue. Full event passes cost
Beginning April 11, fencing club and private lessons will be scheduled 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Fencing classes and club practices are suspended while social distancing. Monitor Chevy Chase Fencing Club's Pandemic Blog. It will be updated regularly with news, information, Zoom recordings, etc.
Because Montgomery County Public Schools will be closing early and canceling evening activities because of the weather conditions, there will be no private lessons or CCFC club practice tonight, Tuesday, January 7.
Because Montgomery County Public Schools have now closed for the day because of the weather, there will be no fencing private lessons or club practice today, Monday, December 16. Remember, our weather cancellation policy follows that of the Montgomery County Public Schools. Should MCPS close schools for the day, dismiss early, or cancel evening activities DUE TO WEATHER, then we will not have fencing classes, private lessons or practice.
Because the adult foil group classes are beginning on Wednesday, October 23, fencing club practice on Wednesday evenings will now meet at 8:00pm to 9:30pm.
Because of the Columbus Day Holiday, there will be no fencing club practice or private lessons on Saturday, October 12, and Monday, October 14.
Fencing club practice resumes tonight, Thursday, August 1, after our July vacation. During August, club will practice on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 7:30pm-9:00pm. After Labor Day, we will be meeting at our normal schedule by adding Mondays, 7:30pm-9:00pm, and Saturdays, 2:00pm-3:30pm. The summer session of the Junior Epee Club will begin on Tuesday, August 6, 6:30pm-7:30pm. During August, Junior Epee Club will only practice on Tuesday evenings. After Labor Day,
Chevy Chase Fencing Club is on summer break. There will be no club practice or private lessons during the month of July. Practices will resume on August 1. During August club practices will meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 7:30pm-9:00pm. After Labor Day, September 2, Mondays, 7:30pm-9:00pm and Saturdays, 2:00pm-3:30pm, will be added to the club practice schedule. The summer semester of the Junior Epee Club will begin on Tuesday,
