Register now for group fencing classes for adults (age 13+) and kids (ages 8 to 12). Classes for adults will begin on Wednesday, October 23. Beginning Foil will meet at 6:00pm; Intermediate Foil at 7:00pm. Equipment is provided ($25.00 materials fee paid at the first class). You can start fencing at any age. Because the adult foil group classes are beginning on Wednesday, October 23, fencing club practice on Wednesday evenings will now meet at 8:00pm to 9:30pm.
Because of the Columbus Day Holiday, there will be no fencing club practice or private lessons on Saturday, October 12, and Monday, October 14.
Footwork practice will be every Thursday evening, 7:00-7:30pm. Everyone should come to the footwork practice session tonight, Thursday, October 10, 7:00-7:30pm. Footwork is an essential element of our fencing strategy and everyone at Chevy Chase needs to improve their footwork technique. Coach Matthew Moore will be leading this practice.
